| Geiki Ganger 01/26/20 1:07:34 AM #1 | I feel like quite a lot, especially when it's not all of China that ate bat. Hell, it wasn't even the whole city of Wuhan that ate bat. It was a tiny percentage of the city (one with a population larger than NYC, mind you) that ate bats. I have friends from Wuhan who never heard of this practice until the coronavirus outbreak. Also, this current virus is much easier to treat than SARS. Even doctors from Wuhan are saying it is the citizen's panic that is creating most of the issue; treating the flu itself is relatively simple. Most of the death comes from the elderly, just like any other victims in a typical flu season. | Geiki Ganger 01/04/20 10:27:20 PM #1 | The US first pulls out of Syria under the guise of ending US entanglement in foreign wars, particularly in the Middle East. This is a huge win for Syria and Russia, resulting in Turkeys slaughter of our Kurdish allies who then flip and are now allied with Syria (our adversary). This also allows Russia (another adversary) to fill the power vacuum in Syria and establish a foothold in the Middle East, reversing the decades old policy maintained by every previous US administration to keep Russia out of the Middle East. In one move we flip an ally against us and make two adversaries stronger. A few months later, we drone strike and kill the top general of our biggest adversary in the region. Iran considers the strike an act of war and vows revenge. This also alienates our ally, Iraq, who considers the strike a violation of their sovereignty and a hostile act against their nation. The US claims that this was done to save lives and proclaims that Americans are now safer. The state department then tells all Americans in Iraq to leave immediately and issues warnings for Americans all throughout the region. Another part of the narrative justifying the attacks is that the Iranian general was a bad guy who needed to be taken out. This comes on the heels of presidential pardons for war criminals, the ceding of territory to a Syrian dictator who uses chemical weapons on his own people, and the president cozying up to the Turkish head of state, a strongman that just slaughtered our Kurdish allies. The president claims that the strike was not carried out to start a war, but rather to prevent war. Now were sending 3,500 troops to the region in an effort to help end endless wars. Meanwhile, China, Iran, and Russia hold joint naval exercises in the Gulf of Oman.
